Introduction
MinistryOps is a product of MinistryOps, LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company ("MinistryOps," "we," "our," or "us"). MinistryOps is volunteer signup sheets for every ministry. We are committed to protecting the privacy of ministry leaders, volunteers, and the people they serve. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
Information from Planning Center
When you connect MinistryOps to your Planning Center account, we access:
- Basic profile information (name, email, profile picture)
- Your Planning Center Services teams, positions, and scheduling data, used to build and sync volunteer signup sheets
- Your Planning Center admin/permission level, used to determine what you can manage in MinistryOps
We access the Planning Center data needed to run the product. That includes Services teams, positions, and plans for signup sheets, and Check-Ins data when a feature such as the live dashboard uses it.
Information You Provide
- Account and organization details (church name, contact email)
- Signup sheet configuration and preferences
- Communication preferences
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Build and keep volunteer signup sheets in sync with your Planning Center teams
- Determine who is eligible to sign up for a given team or role
- Manage account access and permissions within your organization
- Send important service communications
- Improve our services and develop new features
Data Protection
We take care with the ministry data we handle:
- All data transmission is encrypted using TLS, and sensitive fields are encrypted at rest
- Access to your organization's data is strictly scoped to members of your Planning Center organization
- We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run MinistryOps: Planning Center, Stripe, Sentry, and Resend
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to operate MinistryOps. This includes a secure, HTTP-only session cookie that keeps you signed in and a CSRF token used to protect your account from cross-site request forgery. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising cookies.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless product analytics to understand which features are used and to improve MinistryOps. This tracks anonymous, aggregate interactions (such as which buttons are clicked) and does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and is never used for advertising.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with the following service providers solely to operate MinistryOps:
- Planning Center — authentication and the ministry data described above
- Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions
- Sentry — error monitoring to help us diagnose and fix technical issues
- Resend — delivery of transactional emails (e.g. account and billing notifications)
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use your data for their own advertising or analytics purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. When you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications
